The course will be held in English,

Posture:
position of feet, arms and head
Breathing:
usage of abdominal muscles and
technique of inspiration and
expiration
Pitch of the voice and care
about sound quality:
usage of resonators and
exploitation of the timbre
Legato in the Cantabile:
study of Cantabili and
acquisition of the Legato style
Study of the pronunciation of
lyrics from Italian Opera and
study of phrasing: diction in
the Bel Canto and care about
phrasing
Agility:
study of coloratura passages in
Bel Canto Cabalettas
Singing and gestural
expressiveness:
facial expressions e gestural
expressiveness in Singing

The singer and the scene (that is
to be a character):
Core issues of theatre and opera
Awareness of our own body (training and exercises in
group)
Interaction and movements in the space (lessons together
the singing language)
History of Opera and Interpretation issues
Historical notions about the opera |
(particular attention to the operas
choosen by students) |
Reading and interpretation of
librettos |
(to understand the purposes of
librettist and composer |
Stagecraft
Work on opera stages and on intepretation for every
student |
(to create the possibilyt to be a
carachter and to make it live) |

The course will avail itself of
the collaboration at the piano
of Maestro Mattia Peli, who will
be also available in the final
part of the preparation as an
orchestra conductor. |
